Usage and Biology

This part is a rigid linker that links two proteins to form one fusion protein. It repeats amino acids EAAAK three times to maintain distance of two proteins and preventing from interrupting each other while folding.
The structure of this linker is basically alpha helix, indicating a rigid property. It can help the two parts in a fusion protein to maintain the distance between each other and function independently.

In our fusion protein design, we use it as a rigid linker linking two proteins to form one fusion protein. It can prevent the two proteins from interrupting each other while folding. And the computer structure simulation support this description.
